In "Dual Range Chart Display" mode, the GP1670/GP-1870 series displays dual charts, both long and short range, at the same time.

In order to assess individual fish size, the echo strength from the fish needs to be computed and turned into fish size display on the screen.
It can detect the fish size of 10 to 199 cm, in the depth of 2 to 100 m.

※In some instances, fish size indicated on the GP-1670F/1870F may differ from its actual size.

TThe RotoKey™ has a two fold function.Rotate the knob for a finely stepped zoom control. Push the knob to get full access to GP-1670/1670F controls.

Optional bezel kit is available allowing for easy replacement from Furuno GP-1650, GP-1850 and GP-7000 series.

GP-1670F/1870F's Bottom Discrimination feature enables the fish finder to indicate if a major component of the bottom is mud, sand, gravel or rocks. The Bottom Discrimination Function provides you with valuable information to locate rich fishing grounds, while boosting your catch of the day.

※Please keep the following in mind when using the Bottom Discrimination Sounder:

1. Use at a depth of 5 m - 100 m.
2. Use transducer in transom mount or thru-hull mount.
   
3. To show a consistent display of the actual bottom, set the range display of the fish finder screen to "auto".
4. Enter the ship's draft value
5. Use a ship speed of 10 kn or less.
6. In some instances, bottom component indicated on the GP-1670F/1870F may carefully differ from its actual bottom structure.Please read the operation manual prior to utilizing this feature.
