By integrating chart data, Radar targets, AIS information, and collision risk visualization into an intuitive 3D environment, VNS-100 helps navigators quickly understand complex traffic situations, particularly in congested waters.

Bird View (bird’s-eye)

Bird View provides an intuitive understanding of the surrounding environment by displaying vessel traffic, routes, and potential hazards in a realistic 3D perspective. With freely adjustable viewpoints, navigators can assess situations from any angle. This makes complex traffic situations easier to understand and helps improve situational awareness regardless of experience level.

Fully Automatic Acquisition and Tracking

Fully Automatic Acquisition and Tracking automatically detects and tracks all radar targets in the vessel’s surroundings, eliminating the need for manual acquisition*. By continuously monitoring target movements, it reduces operator workload, minimizes the risk of overlooking vessels, and enhances situational awareness, especially in congested waters and low-visibility conditions.

Risk Visualizer™

Risk Visualizer™ assists operators in making avoidance decisions by visualizing the areas where there is a risk of collision if own ship keeps current speed and other ship(s) continue to navigate at their current speed and course.

Powered by Automatic Target Acquisition & Tracking, Risk Visualizer™ for VNS-100 evaluates collision risks for all detected targets, including non-AIS vessels. Its unique forward-focused risk model reduces unnecessary alarms and helps navigators identify the most critical threats at a glance.

Touch displays and multi-touch operation

The VR Navigation System supports multi-touch operation on touch-enabled displays, allowing navigators to zoom, pan, rotate, and adjust viewpoints with simple gestures.
This intuitive interface reduces operational complexity, improves usability, and enables quicker understanding of the surrounding situation.

Tablet Connectivity (option)

The system enables live images and playback recorded video by connecting a recommended tablet*1 via wireless LAN, and remotely control the VNS-100 using a dedicated viewer*2.
