The National Institute of Technology, Hiroshima College was founded in 1898, when it started out as a small municipal school for sailors. The graduates today are highly skilled, thanks to an education system combining traditional class room education with hands-on practical learning.

Simulator 1

Steering wheel, Radar, ECDIS and engine console are installed, surrounded by a 270-degree simulator view.
With equipment complying with the latest regulatory standards, they can learn the marine navigation efficiently at this facility.

Simulator 2

Radar, ECDIS, steering wheel and engine console combined with simulator display are installed.

ECDIS training room

With one ECDIS unit per two seats, students can quickly grasp and use the new system.

Instructor

The instructor creates some different training scenarios and reviews the exercises.

Server room

These servers installed the custom software generates the radar echoes, simulation visuals and sound according to the scenarios.
