GESTURE CONTROLLER

SABIKI™ mode (NAVpilot-300 and NAVpilot-711C)

With the SABIKI™mode turned on, the direction can be kept just by adjusting the throttle.
In order to keep the same direction, it is not sufficient to just reverse the engine and move astern. The steering has to be constantly adjusted to keep direction.

The steering has to be constantly adjusted to keep direction.

SABIKI™ mode lets the autopilot take control while you are drifting astern, so you can focus on fishing instead of steering. Moving astern at a slow pace the SABIKI™ mode is uniquely tailored for sabiki fishing, jigging and bottom fishing.

Self learning and adaptive software.

Each time the boat goes to sea, the software learns about sea conditions and automatically calculate the best adjustements for a smooth steering

FANTUM Feedback™

Furuno's "Fantum Feedback™" NAVpilot software clears the path to a simplified installation, while also delivering enhanced steering control. With Fantum Feedback, NAVpilot outboard installations no longer require use of a physical rudder feedback unit.

Fantum Feedback™ is a menu-selectable feature available in the latest NAVpilot-300 and NAVpilot-711C software. This software was developed and extensively tested on a wide variety of outboard vessels with hydraulic steering and reversing pump control. Fantum Feedback™ achieves precise course control, from slow trolling speeds to high-speed cruising, utilizing a newly developed gain process, rather than traditional rudder angle based control.

Optional revolutionary SAFE HELM and POWER ASSIST brings unrivaled steering control and comfort at the helm*

SAFE HELM
The SAFE HELM temporarily switches the NAVpilot to manual steering for a specified time interval, taking it out of an automatic steering mode (AUTO, NAV, etc.) After the time interval has elapsed, SAFE HELM is deactivated and the previous automatic steering mode is restored.

POWER ASSIST
The POWER ASSIST is a unique helm-activated assisted steering feature that can augment and possibly replace separate electric and power-robbing, engine-driven power steering systems on many vessels. POWER ASSIST reduces steering system complexity and costs while increasing economy.

Various Display modes

Various display modes are available on the NAVpilot-300, allowing you to obtain all the necessary data you need thanks to user-friendly menu and graphics, either digital or analog. The NAVpilot-300 also features day/night graphic display, offering perfect viewability no matter the time.

Defferent mode variations

Auto mode

NAVpilot consistently maintains the desired heading, but the vessel may drift off course due to the effects of tide and wind.

Advanced auto mode

NAVpilot consistently maintains the desired heading while compensating for the effects of tide and wind.

NAV mode / Route tracking

NAVpilot steers the vessel towards the current waypoint while compensating for the effects of tide and wind.

When connected to a GPS Navigator, NAVpilot steers the vessel to follow a series of waypoints in succession.
Upon arriving at each waypoint or destination, audible and visual alerts are activated.

Wind mode*

NAVpilot consistently maintains the desired heading toward true or apparent wind direction while compensating for the effects of tide and wind.

  • This mode is available for sailing craft only. Wind data input is required.

FishHunter

The NAVpilot will activate the FishHunter to perform square, zigzag, circle, orbit, spiral or figure eight maneuvers around the specified target at a user selected distance. This feature can also be used for Man Overboard (MOB).

NavNet TZtouch3/2 Full Control

The NavNet TZtouch3, TZtouch2 (v6.01) or later software allows full control of the NAVpilot-300. Not only can the modes be changed or the course adjusted, the user is also able to change installation settings, function parameters and use Fish Hunter™ modes.

NAVpilot-300 controls can be displayed in two ways on your NavNet TZtouch3/2 MFD, depending on your preference. You can have a Side data panel on the left side of the screen, which quickly slides in and out with a swipe of your finger. This is perfect when you want to use a full or two-way split screen for other functions. The other option is to display the NAVpilot-300 controls in a quarter screen instrument window. Both methods allow for easy and intuitive control of the Autopilot.

FishHunter™ Drive

FishHunter™ Drive delivers all-new control features for boaters utilizing select Suzuki outboard models driven by the Furuno NavPilot 300 Autopilot. These new features offer enhanced autopilot controls for precision navigation of routes and advanced fishing features for anglers while jigging or trolling. These new FishHunter™ Drive features are in addition to Furuno’s conventional FishHunter™ modes, which offer unique navigation features for fishing, regardless of engine type.

FishHunter™ Drive features are available in combination with the Furuno NavPilot 300 and specific SUZUKI outboards outfitted with both hydraulic steering and Dometic Optimus Electronics steering systems, including the DF140BG, DF115BG, DF150AP, DF175AP, DF200AP, DF250AP, DF300AP, DF300B, DF325A, and DF350A outboards. FishHunter™ Drive supports configurations of up to 4 engines. Many of these new features can be selected and controlled directly from an interfaced MFD (Multi Function Display), such as the flagship NavNet TZtouch3/TZtouch2 or the GP1871F/1971F combination Chart Plotter/Fish Finder units. FishHunter™ Drive features are also available in the Suzuki SMD7/9 and SMD12/16 MFDs.

Main Features Available with FishHunter™ Drive

The boat will maintain a constant speed, adjusting engine RPM as needed to account for changes in wind and tide.

Decreases the speed of turns at waypoints while navigating an active route.
Reducing speed when executing a turn helps keep the vessel on course.

Allows the vessel to easily maintain a fixed position by controlling the rudder and throttle, countering the effects of wind and tidem which are constantly working to move the boat. An invaluable tool for anglers to maintain a fixed position while fishing a wreck or reef, and for boaters who occasionally must wait for a bridge to open so they can pass.

The NavPilot-300 automatically stops the vessel at the destination waypoint. When combined with the Point Lock™ feature, Auto Stop On Arrival allows the vessel to maintain a fixed position at the destination waypoint.

Expands upon the NavPilot-300's SABIKI™ functionality by controlling both the rudder and throttle to maintain position, freeing the angler to focus 100% on jigging and other vertical fishing.
